About the internship
Vijayi WFH Technologies Private Limited is a budding startup located in Gurgaon, Haryana. We are on a mission to redefine how teams collaborate and manage work efficiently. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 'Android App Development Intern,' who is ambitious and eager to learn and deliver quickly.
NOTE: The interview process involves an assignment. Please apply only if you agree to doing the assignment.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Collaborate with the development team to conceptualize and implement UI/UX enhancements in our Android application leveraging Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, and XML.
2. Work proficiently with Android Studio to build and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Kotlin code.
3. Assist in the integration and optimization of Firebase features including FCM.
4. Engage in debugging, troubleshooting, and enhancing the application performance.
5. Participate in testing processes, ensuring high-quality bug-free code.
6. Collaboratively work in a team to meet agile project objectives and stringent deadlines.
7. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Important notes:
1. You would be expected to work independently and deliver on day one.
2. If the candidate is very knowledgeable, we can provide WFH. However, it will be at a fixed stipend of INR 15k and this is at the discretion of the company. In any case the candidate has to visit the office once for the final interview.
3. The office address mentioned above is Sector 14, however currently it is in Sector 15. The location may change in the near future, but it will be still in Gurgaon.
4. If you are working from the office, you are required to live within 10 km of the office, which means your commute time should not exceed 30 minutes.

Other requirements
1. Strong knowledge and practical experience in Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
2. Experience with Android SDK and Android Studio.
3. Understanding of JSON, XML, Jetpack Compose, and UI/UX design principles.
4. Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose, Firebase, Retrofit, RxJava/RxKotlin, and other commonly used libraries and frameworks.
5. Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus, but not mandatory.
