About the internship
We are looking for a proactive and research-oriented candidate to support hand-knit yarn sourcing and market research across India. The role involves identifying new suppliers, contacting manufacturers and traders, collecting product and pricing information, and developing a reliable vendor database. The position requires strong communication, follow-up skills, and basic knowledge of textiles.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Conducting research on hand-knit yarns across different markets and suppliers in India
2. Contacting vendors, manufacturers, and traders through calls, WhatsApp, email, and online platforms
3. Identifying and developing relationships with new suppliers, manufacturers, and traders
4. Collecting information on yarn and fabric types, composition, count, GSM, width, quality, pricing, and MOQ
5. Following up regularly with vendors regarding quotations, samples, availability, and other requirements
6. Researching new textile materials, suppliers, and market trends
7. Maintaining and updating an organised vendor and product database

Other requirements
Skills Required:
1. Basic knowledge of knitting yarns and textiles
2. Good research and MS Excel skills
3. Familiarity with AI tools is preferred
4. Comfortable making multiple calls to vendors across India
5. Strong communication and follow-up skills
6. Prior experience in textile sourcing, merchandising, fashion, or vendor research is preferred
7. Candidate should be Gurgaon-based or willing to relocate, if location is important for your role.
