About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Create illustrations for in app moments such as onboarding, journaling, streaks, reflections, and gentle nudges.
2. Illustrate everyday human moments tied to gratitude, stillness, joy, and quiet reflection.
3. Explore visual metaphors for emotions like calm, relief, hope, warmth, and presence.
4. Iterate on illustrations based on emotional feedback, not just visual feedback.
5. Simplify existing illustrations by removing elements and refining mood.
6. Work closely with the product designer and founder to understand intent behind each screen.
7. Translate written gratitude prompts into visual form.
8. Create small illustration sets that feel emotionally consistent as a series.
9. Study existing Gratitude illustrations and propose improvements in tone, softness, or clarity.
10. Maintain consistency in color, style, and emotional language across the app.
11. Create illustrations for content pieces and guided practices.
12. Participate in critique sessions focused on feeling, not aesthetics.
13. Build an internal library of moments, gestures, and expressions drawn from everyday life.
14. Revisit past work to refine subtle details like posture, spacing, and silence.
15. Observe how illustrations sit inside real app screens and adjust accordingly.
