About the internship
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented data analyst intern to join our team for a winter internship. This role is ideal for students pursuing degrees in data science, statistics, computer science, engineering, or related fields who are eager to apply analytical skills in a real business environment. The intern will support data collection, data cleaning, analysis, reporting, and visualization to help drive informed decision-making.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Collect data from multiple sources such as spreadsheets, databases, and internal systems
2. Clean, validate, and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy and consistency
3. Organize and maintain structured datasets for easy access and analysis
4. Perform basic to intermediate data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights
5. Create data visualizations (charts, graphs, reports) using tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar
6. Prepare and update dashboards for management and internal stakeholders
7. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly analytical reports
8. Support ad-hoc data requests from different departments
9. Document data processes, assumptions, and methodologies
10. Ensure data confidentiality and follow data governance guidelines

Other requirements
1. Basic understanding of data analysis concepts
2. Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, charts)
3. Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau preferred)
4. Basic knowledge of SQL or Python is an added advantage
5. Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
6. Good communication and reporting skills
