DESCRIPTION
About the internship
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Tally accountant to handle day-to-day accounting tasks using Tally Prime/Tally ERP. The candidate will assist with bookkeeping, voucher entry, record maintenance, and basic financial reporting.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Enter sales, purchase, receipt, payment, journal, and contra vouchers in Tally
2. Maintain day-to-day accounting records and ensure data accuracy
3. Reconcile bank statements, vendor/customer accounts
4. Manage accounts payable and receivable
5. Maintain inventory records (if applicable) in Tally
6. Assist with GST data preparation, including sales/purchase summaries
7. Generate basic financial reports such as ledgers, trial balance, and P&L
8. Ensure proper documentation and filing of invoices and supporting documents
9. Support the senior accountant during the month-end closing
10. Handle petty cash and expense entries
11. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies

Other requirements
1. Basic knowledge of accounting principles
2. Hands-on experience with Tally
3. Good understanding of ledger posting and voucher types
4. Proficiency in MS Excel (basic formulas, spreadsheets)
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow instructions
7. BCom/MCom/BBA/Diploma in accounting (preferred)
