Financial Data Analyst – Merchant Onboarding & Pre-Underwriting (US Finance Operations) Internship in Lucknow at Kweesha

We are looking for detail-oriented and analytically strong candidates to join our U.S. Finance Operations team in Lucknow.

This role combines financial data analysis, merchant onboarding, KYB, Salesforce application processing, bank statement review, and pre-underwriting support for U.S.-based business funding applications.

The primary responsibility of the intern will be to ensure that merchant applications are entered accurately into Salesforce, supporting documents are complete, financial information is reviewed and validated, inconsistencies are identified, and qualified submissions are moved efficiently to the underwriting team.

This is a high-volume role where speed, accuracy, numerical ability, attention to detail, and sound judgment are equally important.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Processing incoming merchant funding applications and entering data accurately into Salesforce
2. Reviewing applications for completeness before moving them into the underwriting workflow
3. Performing basic Know Your Business (KYB) checks and verifying business information
4. Reviewing business bank statements and financial documents submitted by U.S.-based merchants
5. Extracting, organising, calculating, and validating financial data
6. Identifying internal transfers, refunds, owner contributions, unusual deposits, and other transactions that may need to be excluded or investigated
7. Identifying missing, incomplete, inconsistent, or potentially incorrect information across applications and supporting documents
8. Performing initial pre-underwriting reviews before forwarding applications to the underwriting team
9. Flagging recurring financing payments, discrepancies, or other issues requiring further underwriting review
10. Performing financial calculations and basic funding analysis using Excel and internal systems
11. Preparing accurate underwriting support notes and maintaining organised application records
12. Escalating unresolved or unusual findings instead of making unsupported assumptions
13. Maintaining accurate application statuses, notes, and documentation within Salesforce
14. Handling a high volume of applications while maintaining defined accuracy and turnaround standards
15. Following internal SOPs, quality-control standards, and confidentiality requirements for financial and business information
