About the internship
Job description:
The Production Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality production. This role focuses on improving productivity, reducing costs, and maintaining product quality while supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, evaluate, and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with design and quality teams to ensure product manufacturability and compliance with specifications.
Analyze production data and identify bottlenecks or issues affecting throughput and quality.
Implement lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and waste.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and technology.
Prepare process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within the production area.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to support manufacturing requirements.
Support cost reduction initiatives and monitor production costs.
