Background of Ocean Centre (OC):
Ocean Centre was established in 1990 primarily for commercial diving operations with a single scuba diving cylinder operating from a residence. During the 90's, numerous diving assignments were conducted for harbour, nuclear power corporation, bridges, dams, ships, sub-sea pipelines, offshore Oil & Gas platforms. Employed, trained, and + 5000 divers. Conducted diving operations upto 90 Mtrs depth off Egypt and several other places worldwide for Mixed gas and Saturation Diving assignments.
By the year 2000, the company graduated into specialised vessels. The company conceptualised and converted an old hull into specialised Offshore Vessel as "Work & Accommodation Crane Barge". It is a history of working in 22 countries across the world with about 20 vessels in various formats. The company has been one of the top operators in the world with a global presence for 'Work & Accommodation Crane Barges'
The focus has been to develop our organisation as a well-structured infrastructure for global operations for demanding international oilfield standards. The profile speaks for itself. The fact that our vessels are chartered consistently for long periods by top clients around the world speaks about our commitment, performance, reliability, and standards.
Ocean Centre has centralized management policies implemented and upgraded periodically by way of established procedures, standards, a series of audits by Oil Majors related to safety, management, operations and also our own policy guidelines on ethics and values. These are implemented with impact in various combinations.
Ocean Centre has worked across the South China Sea - Gulf of Malay - Bay of Bengal - Indian Ocean, all over the Middle East & Persian Gulf - Red Sea - Mediterranean - Black Sea - Caspian Sea - East Africa - West Africa
Oil Majors/Principals for whom Ocean Centre has done major projects include Statoil (Norway) - British Gas -Petronas ( Malaysia) - ADNOC (UAE) - British Petroleum (Vietnam) - Dubai Petroleum (UAE) - Iraq Oil - Egypt Oil - Sonangol ( Angola) - Clough Offshore (Australia) - J Ray McDermott (US/UAE) - Hyundai (Korea) - Samsung (Korea) - Saipem ( Italy) , Boskalis/SMIT (Netherlands) - L& T (India) - US Navy & others.
Despite the above wide experiences and global exposures, Ocean Centre remained by choice a 'medium-sized organization'. Our belief is to offer, through our specialised vessels or services, a high standard quality performance for Oil Majors around the world or whichever field we choose to use our expertise.
