About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
A. Social media outreach:
1. Identify and engage potential leads via LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and other professional platforms
2. Build and manage targeted outreach campaigns to connect with decision-makers and influencers
3. Monitor industry conversations and participate in relevant discussions to generate brand visibility
B. Email marketing:
1. Design and execute targeted email campaigns to prospect lists using tools such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, or Outreach
2. Craft compelling email copy tailored to industry verticals (manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, etc.)
3. Track open rates, click-through rates, and conversions; iterate based on data-driven insights
4. Maintain and update CRM records to ensure accurate lead pipeline tracking
C. Cold calling & direct outreach:
1. Conduct structured cold calls to qualified prospects from curated lead lists
2. Communicate the value proposition of PTC's IoT, PLM, AR, and Industry 4.0 solutions clearly and confidently
3. Schedule discovery calls and product demos for the senior sales team
4. Handle objections professionally and document call outcomes in the CRM
D. Lead research & database management:
1. Research and build target account lists using tools like ZoomInfo, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar
2. Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on BANT criteria (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline)
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM (Salesforce or HubSpot)
E. AI-powered lead generation:
1. Use AI writing assistants (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to draft and personalise outreach emails, LinkedIn messages, and cold call scripts at scale
2. Leverage AI-powered prospecting tools (e.g. Apollo AI, Clay, Amplemarket) to automate lead enrichment, intent signal detection, and account prioritisation
3. Apply AI-driven insights from CRM platforms to identify high-conversion lead patterns and optimise outreach timing and messaging
4. Experiment with prompt engineering techniques to generate industry-specific content for target verticals (manufacturing, aerospace, automotive)

1. Completed a degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionals at all levels
4. Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
5. Basic proficiency with MS Office/Google Workspace
6. Understanding of industrial manufacturing, IoT, PLM, or enterprise software industries
7. Prior experience in sales, telecalling, or marketing roles (even in academic projects)
8. Knowledge of LinkedIn outreach or email marketing best practices
9. Hands-on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini for content creation, research, or productivity
10. Familiarity with AI-powered sales tools such as Apollo AI, Clay, Lavender, or similar platforms
