About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Design and develop battery enclosures, mounting systems, and thermal solutions.
2. Create CAD models, drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks.
3. Run structural and thermal simulations (FEA/CFD) for design validation.
4. Support hands-on prototyping, assembly, testing, and iteration.
5. Use SolidWorks Sheet Metal, Surface Modeling, Weldments, and Simulation tools.
6. Operate power and hand tools for prototyping.
7. Work closely with electrical and manufacturing teams to optimize cost and performance.
8. Be willing to work on-ground, interact with vendors and manufacturers, and support pilot builds.
9. Maintain clear documentation of design iterations and test learnings.
10. Show cross-functional ownership, accountability, and willingness to learn new tools we're an early-stage startup

4. Prior experience in an EV or battery company, specifically in battery pack design
