Mechanical/Electrical - R&D Prototyping Engineer Internship at Zentosh Labs

We're looking for a Mechanical/Electrical/Prototyping Engineer who thrives at the intersection of design, technology, and craftsmanship. You'll work closely with a small, world-class team to bring ideas to life from concept to prototype to production. If you love hands-on engineering, rapid iteration, and solving hard problems with creativity and precision, this is your playground.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Lead rapid prototyping across mechanical and electrical systems
2. Own component selection, schematic capture, prototype bring-up, and debugging
3. Collaborate on hardware bug tracking, functional verification, and signal characterization
4. Work with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure proper production of PCBAs and sub-assemblies
5. Contribute to end-to-end design and manufacturing of plastic, metal, and hybrid components
6. Fabricate prototypes, iterate fast, and push designs toward high-volume production
7. Develop and execute accelerated test plans for lifetime validation
8. Conduct component-level testing for performance, durability, and reliability
9. Create and release detailed 2D drawings and component documentation
