Film Direction Part Time Internship at Echotalk

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Study scripts and understand the story, characters, emotions, and purpose of each scene.
2. Develop the creative vision and storytelling approach for assigned film projects.
3. Break scripts into scenes and plan how each scene should be directed.
4. Create shot ideas, references, storyboards, and visual plans before filming.
5. Conduct rehearsals and guide actors on performance, emotions, movement, and dialogue delivery.
6. Direct assigned scenes and short film projects under senior supervision.
7. Work closely with cinematographers to decide framing, camera movement, lighting, and visual style.
8. Coordinate with assistant directors, production, art, costume, makeup, and other departments.
9. Review takes during shoots and decide when additional or alternative takes are required.
10. Maintain consistency in characters, performances, tone, and storytelling throughout the project.
11. Work with editors during post-production to ensure the final cut reflects the intended story.
12. Review sound, music, color, and other creative elements during post-production.
13. Develop original scene, short-film, and cinematic storytelling concepts.
14. Study films and directors to understand different directing and storytelling techniques.
15. Participate in practical directing exercises, screen tests, rehearsals, and production projects.
