DESCRIPTION
About the internship
1. Conduct on-ground research and field surveys in diverse settings to gather primary data on policy impacts, stakeholder needs, and program effectiveness.
2. Perform secondary research by reviewing reports, academic papers, government documents, and datasets to identify trends, gaps, and best practices.
3. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using research analytics and data analytics tools to derive insights - e.g., thematic coding for interviews or statistical modeling for survey responses.
4. Draft and refine reports, policy briefs, and presentations, ensuring clear, compelling narratives that translate complex findings into pragmatic recommendations.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate research outputs and support program design, including stakeholder mapping and evidence synthesis.
6. Assist in tool selection and basic visualization (e.g., using Excel, Tableau) for impactful data storytelling.

Other requirements
1. Current students or recent graduates in public policy, sociology, economics, development studies, statistics, or related fields (undergrad/postgrad).
2. Strong proficiency in research methodologies (qualitative/quantitative) and hands-on experience with data analytics tools.
3. Excellent writing and communication skills for surveys, reports, and stakeholder interactions.
4. Passion for social impact, with empathy for grassroots perspectives.
5. Ability to work independently in multicultural, fast-paced settings.
6. Analytical mindset, attention to detail, ethical research practices, and adaptability to field challenges.
