About the internship
Spicy Tawa is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Restaurant Supervisor Intern to join our team. This 3-month internship is designed to provide hands-on learning in restaurant management, staff supervision, and guest experience. The ideal candidate should be passionate about food and hospitality, eager to learn leadership skills, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Assist the Restaurant Supervisor/Manager in overseeing daily operations of front-of-house and back-of-house.
2. Monitor staff performance and support in scheduling, training, and task allocation.
3. Ensure food quality, hygiene, and service standards are consistently maintained.
4. Handle customer queries, feedback, and assist in resolving complaints effectively.
5. Support in running promotional activities and offers on Zomato/Swiggy.
6. Maintain inventory records, including paneer, tandoor items, charcoal, pickles, and other key stock.
7. Work with POS system (Petpooja) for billing, orders, and reports.
8. Learn and follow compliance standards, including food safety & hygiene regulations.
Learning Outcomes:
1. Practical knowledge of restaurant supervision and team management.
2. Hands-on experience with Petpooja POS, Swiggy, and Zomato operations.
3. Exposure to inventory control, stock management, and vendor coordination.
4. Improved customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
5. Deep understanding of food safety, hygiene, and compliance protocols.

Other requirements
1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and shifts.
4. Basic knowledge of restaurant operations is a plus.
5. Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
