About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilites include:
1. Customize and optimize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
2. Familiarity with Shopify sections/blocks architecture, Storefront API or Shopify app development.
3. Portfolio or previous 'live' Shopify site (or theme customization) you've worked on.
4. Understanding of e-commerce trends, conversion optimization, performance (page-load, mobile UX) etc.
5. Integrate external APIs and services - including AI/LLM APIs - for features such as chatbot support, personalized product recommendations, dynamic content, or backend automation (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) or building small app.
6. Collaborate with the design team to implement UI/UX enhancements for a seamless user journey.
7. Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) via APIs for chat, recommendation, or automation features.
8. Troubleshoot, debug, and improve performance across devices.
9. Work on integrations with third-party tools and applications.
10. Research and apply emerging Shopify and AI trends to keep the storefront innovative.

1. Good sense of UI/UX (good to have Figma hands on skill) – ability to interpret design mockups, implement responsive layouts, optimize for web/mobile.
2. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
3. Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment.
4. Good understanding of Shopify themes and Liquid templating system.
