DESCRIPTION
About the internship
1. Implement and optimize core image processing algorithms using OpenCV in C++
2. Prototype algorithms and processing pipelines using Python with OpenCV, NumPy, and scikit-image
3. Develop Qt-based GUI applications in C++ for real-time visualization and parameter tuning
4. Port performance-critical Python code into efficient C++ and Qt modules
5. Integrate camera input, preprocessing, and output visualization within a unified Qt interface
6. Optimize code for performance, including speed and memory efficiency
7. Assist in dataset preparation, evaluation, and integration of vision modules into larger systems
8. Write clean and well-documented code and participate in technical discussions

Other requirements
1. Pursuing BTech or MTech in computer science, electronics, or related fields (3rd/4th year or recent graduate)
2. Strong fundamentals in C++ including C++11/14+, STL, pointers, and memory management
3. Good proficiency in Python (3.8+) for prototyping and scripting
4. Hands-on experience with OpenCV, including core image processing and video modules
5. Understanding of image processing concepts such as filtering, thresholding, contours, color spaces, and geometric transformations
6. Basic knowledge of the Qt framework (Qt5/Qt6), including GUI layout with Qt Widgets, image/video display using QLabel and QImage/QPixmap, signals and slots, and OpenCV Mat to Qt QImage conversion
7. Ability to read documentation, work with examples, and debug effectively
8. Strong problem-solving mindset with eagerness to learn
9. Experience with Qt-based image viewer or editor applications as an added advantage
10. Familiarity with CMake or basic build systems
11. Understanding of multi-threading concepts using std::thread or QtConcurrent
12. Exposure to PyTorch or TensorFlow as a bonus
13. Knowledge of Git and clean code practices
14. Experience in projects related to real-time video processing, defect detection, interactive computer vision GUIs, or camera calibration and AR overlays
