This internship will give you exposure to real-world product testing, automation processes, and collaborative software development.
Specific responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop and implement effective test plans, test cases, and scripts. Metric to measure: Number of test cases created and executed successfully.
- Interact with product, design, and engineering teams to test and deploy new features. Metric to measure: Timely communication and collaboration with teams, ensuring participation in sprint demos and reviews.
- Report bugs and track resolutions. Metric to measure: Number of valid bugs reported and successfully resolved by the development team.

- Begin identifying areas for automation
Month 3+:
- Implement basic automation scripts
- Proactively suggest improvements to QA workflow
- Contribute to release readiness and product quality

Top Grading:
- Bias for Action: An A-player proactively identifies gaps in the product and testing process and suggests improvements. A B-player waits for tasks to be assigned and rarely suggests improvements.
- Problem-solving: An A-player provides logical solutions to issues and improves workflows. A B-player reports issues but does not offer actionable solutions.
- Learning agility: An A-player quickly adapts to new tools, coding concepts, and testing methodologies. A B-player struggles to learn new tools or adopt new practices.
- Collaboration: An A-player communicates clearly and effectively with multiple teams, ensuring alignment. A B-player has limited communication; updates are unclear or delayed.
- Attention to detail: An A-player detects edge-case bugs, ensures thorough coverage, and maintains high-quality standards. A B-player misses bugs, provides incomplete testing coverage, and overlooks details.

About Kraftshala
We are an online higher education institution committed to playing the long game of building a transformative skilling experience for the masses. We call this - Scaling with Soul. This means we always prioritise student outcomes, specifically our placement rate, over other metrics such as the number of enrolments or company valuation in the coming year.
This is, of course, easier said than done. There are painful choices to be made at every stage that wouldn't have been needed were we willing to give up on either high quality or scale. But in the long run, we believe that our obsession over these student outcomes will earn Kraftshala the trust of Indian students, their families, recruiting companies, & the broader ecosystem. That's why we make each of our placement reports public, capturing how many students are placed in each batch, in what companies, at what salaries, etc.
In the last 4.5 years, we have placed more than 2500+ students with a placement rate of 94% (& improving).
