About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Develop and execute recruiting plans
2. Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media, and employees
3. Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives
4. Conduct regular follow-ups with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
5. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
6. Build networks to find qualified passive candidates
7. Post job openings in various forums including job boards, college career services, social media, etc.
8. Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements
9. Pre-screen candidates and suggest them to hiring managers
10. Manage the scheduling and logistics of all interviews between candidates and hiring managers
11. Perform reference and background checks for potential employees
12. Coordinate and communicate all verbal and written job offers with candidates
13. Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques
14. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
