About the work from home job/internship
Swaraj does two things:
1. News that respects your time and get a clear snapshot of what's happening. Local to global. No clickbait. No gossip. Just what matters.
2. Document problems that matter. Broken road? Unsafe water? Dead streetlight? Snap a photo, mark the location, create a Voice. It stays on the map until it's fixed.
This is a founding news & social media (internship) opportunity for someone ready to go all in. You'll work directly with the founder, help define the voice of Swaraj, and take ownership of stories, content, and community engagement.
What you'll do:
1. Run our AI-assisted news pipeline : Manage, edit, and publish sharp "news sparks" 3 daily
2. Own social media distribution : Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube Shorts
3. Run paid ads (Meta) - Launch and manage campaigns via Meta Ads Manager
4. Create high-leverage content - Reels, design carousels, infographics, headlines
5. Turn civic issues into viral narratives - From potholes to policy : make people care
6. Shape Swaraj's voice - Clear, sharp, credible, no fluff
7. Engage with citizens publicly - Respond with intelligence, wit, and dignity
8. Execute influencer marketing - Build relationships and close collaborations
9. Work directly with the founder - Strategy, experimentation, rapid iteration

Other requirements
1. Have strong proficiency in English — without relying on AI tools
2. Are avid readers with a natural command of language and expression
3. Possess high general awareness, especially about current affairs and civic issues in India
4. You can research, summarize complex issues, and ask sharp questions.
5. You are comfortable experimenting — publishing, learning, and refining.
6. You understand distribution, not just content
7. Know how to grow pages and drive reach
8. You know how to handle criticism online with wit and dignity.
9. Basic video editing and visual design skills (Canva, Figma, Capcut etc.) are a plus.
10. You want to build something meaningful
