Law/Legal Work From Home Internship at Ratio Ventures

Location: Remote (India) with local MSME/court/council visits in your city/state as assigned

Why this role?

Learn end-to-end B2B recovery in the real world observe live MSME/Commercial proceedings, sharpen drafting, and design process improvements that reduce delays for Indian businesses.

What you'll do?

1. Hearing Exposure (Primary): Attend MSME Facilitation Council / Arbitration / Commercial Court hearings in your region; observe proceedings, take structured notes (facts, order, next steps), and track dates/compliance.
2. On-ground Understanding: Interact professionally with court staff, counsel, clients, and finance teams to understand payment bottlenecks and documentation gaps.
3. Legal Drafting & Research: Assist with legal notices, replies, settlement agreements, arbitration claims, and short research briefs (MSMED Act, Arbitration & Conciliation Act, CPC Order 37, Commercial Courts Act).
4. Process Improvement: Propose SOPs, checklists, templates, and follow-up cadences that speed filings, evidence collection, and recovery timelines.
5. Weekly Reporting: Share a concise learning log (hearing summaries + insights) and one measurable improvement suggestion each week.

Training you'll receive:

A. Legal & Workflow Training
1. How MSME/arb/commercial matters move from notice hearing order compliance/enforcement.
2. Drafting foundations using structured templates (notices, replies, settlements, claims).
3. Basic public-records use (MCA master data, cause lists) to support recovery.

B. Soft-Skills Training
1. Professional communication (email/WhatsApp etiquette), client call notes, and follow-up discipline.
2. Courtroom etiquette and stakeholder interaction.
3. Time management, prioritization, and crisp written summaries.

C. Tool Training
1. Docs & spreadsheets for evidence packs and trackers.
2. CRM-style tasking for deadlines and status logs.
3. Hands-on with PayAssured's in-house AI tools (research accelerators, drafting assistants) to work faster and write better.

You're a good fit if you have:

1. 3rd-5th year B.A. LL.B./LL.B. or recent LL.B. graduates.
2. Clear legal writing and documentation discipline; proficiency in English.
3. High ownership, professionalism on field visits, and comfort working remotely with structured reporting.
4. Interest in MSME disputes, arbitration, and commercial recovery.
5. Equipment: Your own laptop, reliable internet, and phone.
